It's been almost a year now...

I've been so busy enjoying my family, running my business, taking care of a variety of business clients, and pursuing my hobbies, that I've neglected to update this personal blog. I've done a little better job of keeping my business site relevant. Davis Interactive, a company I created in 1993, is an internet marketing and media consultancy.

I'm currently contracting with Fenton Missouri-based CTA, Inc.—Christian Tools of Affirmation. CTA's mission is to provide high-quality gifts and free resources to church and school communities. These products are uniquely designed to equip and encourage congregations, staff, volunteers and students. I've been a little better at keeping my business website going, but not much better. Davis Interactive, the company I created in 1993 is an internet marketing and media consultancy.

My primary task at CTA is to double their website traffic, starting with optimizing their website. Once we're up to speed on SEO, I'll shift to link building and then to leveraging social networks and media.

BioBalance 4 Women®, a company I've been serving for five years, has been my biggest client in 2008. I've been busy helping founder and president Dr. Kathy Maupin keep their site up-to-date and producing an interactive marketing and training CD-ROM. The program is filled with videos about bio-identical hormone treatment for symptoms of menopause, some of which I put up on YouTube.

MacWorld Expo, Take 5

Lee and I arrived in San Francisco around noon today, for my fifth Macworld Expo — his second. We're here because we have to be, being mecca for Mac geeks like us. More on that later.

We're staying at the Pickwick Hotel, known not for luxury, but for value. It's clean, comfortable, and close to Moscone Center, the home of Macworld Expo.

This photo shows Lee enjoying a Clif energy bar, and posing next to our auxiliary food supply. We made a raid on Trader Joe's yesterday afternoon, to stock up on healthy snacks. It's part of our strategy to keep the cost of this trip manageable.

We're getting ready to head out for a substantial walking tour, from the foot of Powell Street, across Union Square, and the long uphill trek to China Town.

Inspired by Mondo

My son, Mondowho is proudly serving our country in the US Navy—writes amazing stuff. Read it and see if you agree.

February 11 was my last blog entry, and that was only to test embedding a YouTube video into a Blogger blog. Piece of cake, indeed. Since then I've blogged a time or two on my business website, davisinteractive.com, and a bunch of times on goodlifegifts.com, but not here. Why? Perhaps its because I am doing so much business blogging for Good Life Gifts:
We're making arrangements to begin a new one dealing with  breast cancer patients in the next week or so, and we're seeking other bloggers and podcasters who would appeal to a women audience.

Otherwise, I'm busy building Good Life Gifts, and helping my clients build their businesses (BioBalance 4 Women®, BioBalance 4 Men®, The Deliverance Game, Reel Impact, Doggie Detour) and hope to be adding new clients soon. My wife is doing fulfillment for Biobalance 4 Women's botanical skin care products, and is looking into creating her own ecommerce enterprise.

Most recently for Good Life Gifts, I'm establishing a retail presence on eBay.

The Boys are Home

The mission trip to Tegucigalpa was a great success and the boys had fun. The stories were rich and full of adventure, just as they have been from my childrens' previous ten plus trips there.

I received a nice wooden box of cigars, some seasoned dried fruit and coffee beans. It's Christmas in July.

My daughter and son-in-law joined us at Steak 'n Shake for some quality family time.

Welcome home boys.

Happy Days

My boys return from Honduras tonight. I can't wait to be there at the airport when the Mission trip group walks down the concourse and begins to share their enthusiastic stories with those gathered to greet them.

I'm proud of all three of my kids for dedicating so much of their lives and interest to helping others in Tegucigalpa.
