Almost 6 months to the day

I've been thinking about returning to the blogging routine for several weeks now. Based on my last blog entry you'd think that my daughter's wedding was so traumatic that I couldn't pull myself together to type another word.

To the contrary indeed. The wedding was a grand affair; a joy to behold, from the weeks of planning that preceded it, to the rehearsal dodging thunderstorms, the rehearsal dinner in the dark (storm took out the power), to the beautiful ceremony and reception which was a total joy. The overall experience was amazing, the memories most memorable, and the aftermath seems smooth as the newlyweds and proud parents of the bride are getting along famously.

Life has been good in the months that have followed, with Deb and me having a fun time watching our kids in various states of life, Becca as a wife and full time student at my alma mater - UMSL, Carlos holding down a full time job, Mondo hanging in there studying Arabic at the Defense Language Institute, and Lee at WCA with trying hard to keep his grades up and even working at a restaurant.

Life is good. God is great. And all the rest falls into place.
