A Pain in the Neck

Photo: Lee and I posed with the Abe Lincoln family at the Lincoln Presidential Library and museum in Springfield Illinois.

I've been suffering with occasional pain in my left arm for as much as half a year now. I finally did something about it in late February; I went to a chiropractor. She gave me treatments three times a week for about two weeks and then sent me to get an MRI. The MRI confirmed her diagnosis, a herniated disk between C5 and C6.

She sent me to a surgeon who told me I'd needed surgery to fix it up. Meanwhile, I scheduled an appointment for a second opinion that won't be until May 23rd.

That doctor's assistant told me that I should try a cervical collar and Ibuprophin immediately and to get in to see my family doctor for a prescription for a muscle relaxer and some steroids treatment.

We'll see how all that goes. By the way, if I seem cranky, it's nothing personal.

Where Am I?

It doesn't matter where I am as long a I live in the ever-loving arms of God.

I'm inspired to write here, but I'm about as sure what to write as I am about where I am in my professional life. Perhaps your comments to this blog will spur me on to something worth reading.

Let's seeā€¦

Is there anyone out there?
